IF YOU VISITED THE CHURCH

If you were to visit the church on Sunday morning what would you encounter?  First of all, you would notice that we are a small church... usually around 40-50 people gathering on any given Sunday morning.  You would also notice that we are a warm and welcoming group of every day, work-a-day type people.  You would probably notice that we are very casual around here in our dress.  Pastor Mark and a couple others might be the only ones remotely dressed up (shirt and ties).  The rest will be in Dockers, golf shirts, T-shirts, jeans, shorts, etc.  So if you're worried about what to wear... just show up and you'll fit in.

We begin our time together by worshipping God in song, prayer and Scripture readings.  We have a worship team comprised of a guitarist, drummer, percussionist, pianist, and two to four singers and whoever else who is available to play or sing (if you have an instrument or a voice, we'd love to know about it).  Following our singing time, we usually we go into a time of what we call share and prayer.  This is simply a time for the church to voice our praises and concerns of the past week or upcoming week and to lift them together to the Lord in prayer.  A morning offering is taken while the children (3 years to 7th grade) are dismissed for a teaching time suitable for their ages.  Pastor Mark then gives a relevant, Bible-based message.  We usually close the worship time in prayer and another song and then hang-out until we're ready to go... sometimes this can be quite a while... we like hanging-out with each other!

I always tell our visitors that I pray that they experienced the presence of the Lord and the warmth of the church family.  I think most visitors would agree that these two traits are very evident in our worship.
