OUTREACH

Our desire as a church is to make Jesus known by our lives and our lips.  Although we emphasize what is usually called "lifestyle" evangelism, that is, our members and attendees going out and sharing the love of Jesus in their workplaces and lives outside of the church; we recognize that there are other moments and opportunities we must do to help others embrace Jesus. 

One of the more active services we provide for our community is The Children's Place child care.  We regularly offer Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University which is a 13-week course on handling personal finances.  We support those in need in our community with our church's Helping Hand fund and funds available with the Shawnee-Cridersville Ministerial Association.  We are increasingly getting involved with Family Promise of Lima and Allen County which is a ministry for homeless families in our area.    

Several members of our church are heavily involved with other ministries and support groups in the area.  We have a couple in our church who are leaders with the local Compassionate Friends who assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive. We have members of our church who volunteer at the local hospitals and schools as well.  In short, we are a church family committed to being Christ's salt and light in our community.
